Meet the blobish, a squishy and endangered deep sea creature that floats in the waters off the coast of Australia. It recently took the crown for ugliest animal in the world, according to the Ugly Animal Preservation Society, which is apparently a thing. According to the article, the Ugly Animal Preservation Society is a collaborative effort between the British Science Association and the National Science and Engineering Competition, which is dedicated to, and I quote, “raising the profile of some of Mother Nature’s more aesthetically challenged children”. That’s a rather polite way of putting it. The fact that this organization actually exists is beyond me. “Blobfish” is a pretty appropriate name, all things considered. It literally looks like a stupid blob of mucus with a big dorky nose. And what the hell is that shit coming off of what I’m assuming is its lips? I don’t even know how these bad boys even still exist. There is zero chance this dude is pulling any pussy. Zero. Actually, now that I think of it, the blobfish sort of looks like Tito from Rocket Power…
And Tito was definitely getting some grade A poonani, so maybe all hope isn’t lost for the blobfish.
