So this story doesn’t shock me at all, despite how fucking absurd it is. Its just another example to add to the seemingly never ending list that proves that cops are douche bags who take advantage of their “power” 99 times out of 100, even if it means going against our constitutional rights sometimes. So according to Toledo News Now, Cheri Fiorilli, a woman who lives in a neighborhood in Cleveland, bought a basketball hoop for the kids who helped her with some chores around the house to play on and put it outside her house. But apparently in Cleveland, it’s illegal to play basketball in the street? Cause that makes sense. So naturally, Cleveland PD has to come in and do their best hardo impressions and “save the day” by removing the hoop. There’s a video of how it all went down on the link at the top, but basically the cops showed up and said that what they were doing was illegal and they have no choice but to take the hoop with them. She even offered to move it immediately into her tiny driveway, and the cop simply said “there’s nothing I can do”. Oh, there’s nothing you can do? Pretty sure you could just let her move the hoop and not be a total dickhead, threatening to arrest her for “refusing to comply” when she didn’t want to show you her license for the hundredth time. They just loaded the hoop up into the trunk and drove it away, leaving Fiorilli and the kids in the neighborhood who simply wanted to shoot some hoop standing there stunned.

Look, I understand that it’s a law to not play hoop in the streets, but seriously what the fuck. The woman offered to move it for christ sake. This isn’t Communist Russia or Nazi Germany. It’s fucking America. Supposed “Land of the Free, Home of the Brave”. Well thank the lord for the bravery these cops showed by ridding the neighborhood of this obviously dangerous basketball hoop. I would never wish death or anything of the like on anyone, but I wouldn’t be mad if one of these kids grew up to be a drug dealer because he was forced to the streets since he couldn’t play ball in his neighborhood and runs into one of these dickhead cops on a dark alley. Karma is a bitch people. Remember that.

  1. Cheri Fiorilli says:

Hi I’m the lady in this! And believe me you don’t know the half of it! NEVER was it in the street, NEVER did he have the right to ticket me, or to threaten me & their mom with arrest nor to threaten to tazer an 11YR OLD BOY! He was a bigot, BULLY, & used his power/authority to intimidate, HARASS, menace, and punish me for calling the media. The police department has lied & tried to cover this up & i am going to fight it kicking & screaming at the top of my lungs. I live in the U. S. A. NOT NAZI GERMANY!

Well Cheri, I thank you for coming to my wonderful site to put in your two cents. It is my honor to inform you that you are now, and forever, a welovefuner. Pretty elite group to be inducted to if I may say so myself. What you did for those kids was an amazingly generous thing and the fact that the crooked ass police actually did enforced that idiotic red tape law is beyond ludicrous. Sometimes I wonder if we still do live in the US to be honest. Our forefathers would be appalled at the joke of a country we have become. Keep fighting the good fight Cheri.
