So I guess Phoenix Suns’ guard Shannon Brown was in Latvia recently at a basketball showcase. Brown was a participant in the 2010 Slam Dunk Contest, and has been known to put together some high flying dunks in transition during games, so, naturally, one would expect him to try some cool dunk to wow the crowd. And he did, except it didn’t turn out exactly how he planned. Lets take a look.
PAH! Okay so first of all, when I say “do less”, I actually mean do less. Hey Shannon, you’re jumping over three people laying down. That’s literally not even that hard. Walking all the way back to the other baseline to get a running head start is a little bit ridiculous. You could have easily just started at the three point line, taken a couple steps, and easily thrown down a dunk, because those guys are about half way to the free-throw line. It’s not like you have to jump over them standing up. You do dunks from that distance on the reg in warm-ups. If you gone back to get a mile head start, you probably wouldn’t have slipped and busted your ass in front of a punch of people. Guess that’s just how they do things down in Phoenix these days.
