Stumbled upon this story earlier today. I guess a massive, partly fossilized egg laid by a now-extinct elephant bird has sold for over $100,000. The egg is sub-fossilized, and dates back earlier than the 17th century. It is over 100 times the average size of a chicken egg, standing at just under 1 ft tall with a diameter of just over 8 inches. These Elephant birds were native to Madagascar and among the heaviest known birds in history. James Hyslop, some scientist or some shit, said that, “the egg is the largest egg ever laid by any animal, its bigger than a dinosaur egg”.

Well that should just about do it. You could make a serious omelet with that bad boy. When I first saw this I couldn’t help but immediately think of that Dave Chappelle skit where he does a fake episode of cribs and has that T-Rex egg.

Fucking incredible. I miss Chappelle’s Show.
